A homeowner and her new neighbors are off to a rocky start.

The homeowner, who moved in with her family just days ago, explained on the community forum Mumsnet that she found a “rude” note, likely written by their neighbors who are living directly across the street.

She revealed that the angry note came with the blunt demand to “get blinds for your bathroom, we don’t want to see you having a s—.”

Stunned by the note, the woman continued, “The window is frosted but I assume at night with the light on you can see in.”

Still unpacking and settling in, the woman defended her lack of blinds.

“The seller has taken all blinds out of the property … and we’ve spent today putting some new ones up, including in the bathroom,” she said.

Feeling as though the neighbors “could have sent a more polite note or knocked on the door,” the woman asked the forum if she’s being unreasonable “to say they went about this in a rude way?”

In a poll under her Mumsnet post, 95% of the more than 3,400 voters chose the “You are NOT being unreasonable” voting option.

“Completely ignore them, it’ll drive them nuts,” one reader replied, while another person commented, “What a horrible welcome note, I’m sorry some people are such s—heads! Just ignore it.”

“Laugh as you put the note in the trash and carry on with your life,” a third Mumsnet user advised to the concerned homeowner.
